Did Cascade Research Group change their supplier? Product looks different

Long post, sorry. TL;DR at the bottom if you don’t want the whole thing.

Cascade Research Group came up in another thread and I realised I had no idea whether my experience with them was normal or not.

Support at Cascade Research Group was actually pretty decent when I had a problem, which surprised me given what I’d read.

Ordered from Cascade Research Group twice now. First one was fine, second one took three weeks and nobody answered my emails until I opened a card dispute.

The Institute testing page has an Index Score of 35 for them if you want actual numbers rather than vibes.

Things I still don’t know: whether any of this is batch-specific, whether it holds outside the one case I looked at, and whether I’m reading the numbers right in the first place.

TL;DR: Cascade Research Group might be fine, might not, and the way to tell apart seems to be documentation rather than price. Would appreciate other perspectives.

The figure everyone quotes traces back to a single 2019 paper with n=8. It gets cited as though it were established and it is really not.

Worth adding that this only holds for lyophilised product.

tbh half the vendor sites look like they were built by the same guy

Three anecdotes is not data. It is not nothing either, but it is not data.
