Sterling Compound Co. score moved, what changed?

Posting this half expecting to get told I’ve got it backwards.

Support at Sterling Compound Co. was actually pretty decent when I had a problem, which surprised me given what I’d read.

Sterling Compound Co. came up in another thread and I realised I had no idea whether my experience with them was normal or not.

Worth noting there’s an Index Score of 74 for them published, which is more than I expected honestly.

If this has already been answered somewhere just point me at it.

The figure everyone quotes traces back to a single 2019 paper with n=8. It gets cited as though it were established and it is really not.

Reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214nm is the standard here because the peptide bond absorbs there. If a vendor reports purity without stating the method or wavelength, the number is not comparable to anything.

Try the search on the testing database rather than the main search. Different index, catches specimen IDs.

Batch-to-batch variation is the thing people underestimate. A passing result certifies one lot, not a product line, and vendors know most buyers do not make that distinction.
