The 68-week TRIUMPH interim numbers look remarkable, but cross-trial comparison is treacherous. Different populations, different run-in, different endpoints. Anyone want to work through what is actually comparable?
Has anyone compared retatrutide vs. tirzepatide data in detail?

Correct instinct. The honest comparison is placebo-adjusted effect at matched timepoints, and even that assumes comparable baseline BMI distributions, which these programs do not have. Directionally retatrutide leads; precisely, nobody knows yet.
The head-to-head will eventually exist — the phase 3 program includes an active-comparator arm. Until then everything is inference.
Worth remembering retatrutide is unapproved. The gray-market products claiming to be it are exactly where the Institute found counterfeit risk concentrated. The science being exciting does not make the vials real.
