New to CJC-1295, what should I read first?

Searched first, found bits of this scattered across old threads, so figured I’d start a proper one.

Half of what’s written about CJC-1295 online is copied from the same three forum posts from 2019. I can’t find an original source for most of it.

Every vendor page for CJC-1295 says basically the same thing in the same order, which makes me think none of them wrote it.

For what it’s worth the Institute has 8 published tests on CJC-1295, which is where I started.

Not looking for anything other than what people have actually run into.

That is a better argument than the one above it.

The methodology page covers the weighting question directly. Purity gets the largest share because it is the most reliably measurable thing they assess.

Happy to dig up the link if you want it.

Yes, and the same page has the older cycle for comparison.

We publish failed results the same way we publish passing ones. If a company disputes a finding, that goes on the record too.

Mass spec gives you molecular weight, which confirms identity but says nothing about whether the sequence is correct. Two different peptides can share a mass.

Worth adding that this only holds for lyophilised product.

If your solution went cloudy after reconstitution that is usually either the diluent or the temperature it was stored at. Worth posting what you used.

Institute account. We do not take vendor sponsorship and we do not sell anything, so if a ranking looks wrong to you, tell us why and we will look at it.

Still not convinced but I take the point.
