Prostamax and injection-site reactions, collecting reports

This got away from me a bit. Skip to the bottom for the short version.

I’m not a scientist. I can read an abstract and roughly follow it but that’s about my limit with Prostamax.

So I’ve been reading about Prostamax for a few weeks now and the more I read the less confident I am that anyone actually knows what they’re talking about.

Half of what’s written about Prostamax online is copied from the same three forum posts from 2019. I can’t find an original source for most of it.

The Institute testing page has 1 published test on Prostamax if you want actual numbers rather than vibes.

Things I still don’t know: whether any of this is batch-specific, whether it holds outside the one case I looked at, and whether I’m reading the numbers right in the first place.

TL;DR: Prostamax might be fine, might not, and the way to tell apart seems to be documentation rather than price. Would appreciate other perspectives.

Worth separating two things here. Purity tells you what fraction of the material is the target compound. Identity tells you whether the target compound is what the label says. A product can pass one and fail the other, and they are different assays.

Happy to walk through how to read one of those reports if it would help. It is less intimidating than it looks once you know which three numbers matter.

Source though?

Yes, and the same page has the older cycle for comparison.

Happy to dig up the link if you want it.

Answered your second question in a DM since it was getting long, but short version is yes with caveats.

Worth adding that this only holds for lyophilised product.

Correct, and the same applies to the quantity assay.

Short answer: check that the lot number on the certificate matches the lot printed on your vial. If it does not, the document is about different material.
