Might be overthinking this. Most of what gets cited for this traces back to one group publishing in the same journal repeatedly. That’s not damning on its own but it’s worth knowing.

Who funded the study though. That is usually the first thing worth checking and almost nobody does.

Worth adding that this only holds for lyophilised product.
