Reading a paper backwards: methods first, abstract last

methodology

Someone talk me out of this.

The gap between what the study measured and what people claim it showed is genuinely enormous.

Rodent study. Always a rodent study. I’m not saying that makes it worthless, I’m saying I wish people led with it.

Genuinely open to being corrected on this.

Was just about to ask this.

Worth separating two things here. Purity tells you what fraction of the material is the target compound. Identity tells you whether the target compound is what the label says. A product can pass one and fail the other, and they are different assays.

Same.

Worth clarifying since it comes up a lot: a company's score moves when new results come in, not on a schedule. The score history on each profile shows every change.

Thanks.

We publish failed results the same way we publish passing ones. If a company disputes a finding, that goes on the record too.

That is the distinction I was trying to make, said better.

Correct, and the same applies to the quantity assay.

Fair enough, I will look at it properly.

Testing desk here. Every specimen page links the full laboratory report, including the method and the lot. If something in one of them is unclear, say which and we will explain it.

Try the search on the testing database rather than the main search. Different index, catches specimen IDs.
