Fair warning, this is long. Summary at the end.
I keep seeing people wave COAs around like they settle the argument. They don’t, and I say that as someone who used to do exactly that.
Tried to verify a COA myself by emailing the lab on it. Never heard back. Not sure if that means anything.
What I want to know is how much of the difference between vendors is real and how much is just measurement noise.
Worth noting there’s 8 published CJC-1295 reports published, which is more than I expected honestly.
The part I keep getting stuck on is that everyone’s confident and nobody agrees, which usually means the evidence is thinner than the discussion.
TL;DR: I went looking for a straight answer on CJC-1295 and came back with more questions. Details above.

Worth separating two things here. Purity tells you what fraction of the material is the target compound. Identity tells you whether the target compound is what the label says. A product can pass one and fail the other, and they are different assays.
