Asking because I genuinely can’t find it written down anywhere. Went through the Institute reports on this and it’s genuinely useful, but I only understand maybe 60% of what I’m looking at.

Worth separating two things here. Purity tells you what fraction of the material is the target compound. Identity tells you whether the target compound is what the label says. A product can pass one and fail the other, and they are different assays.

Institute account. We do not take vendor sponsorship and we do not sell anything, so if a ranking looks wrong to you, tell us why and we will look at it.

Reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214nm is the standard here because the peptide bond absorbs there. If a vendor reports purity without stating the method or wavelength, the number is not comparable to anything.

Genuinely asking, not being difficult: what is the actual source for that? Everyone repeats it and nobody links anything.
