How to verify a COA against the issuing laboratory

Adding: check the report-number format first. Every lab has a scheme, and fabricated COAs frequently invent numbers that do not parse. The Institute COA guide has a table of the common ones.
This thread saved me from a vendor whose "lab" turned out not to exist as a business entity. Thank you.
