Batch variation in Tirzepatide: results from repeat sampling
A close reading of the Tirzepatide evidence, without the marketing layer.
Dr. Alan Mercer··12 min read
Tirzepatide is a dual gip/glp-1 receptor agonist with a development status of "fda-approved (branded forms)". The Institute rates the strength of its published evidence as strong. A dual-incretin agonist targeting both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, with weight-reduction results exceeding single-agonist therapies in head-to-head trials.
This report covers the Tirzepatide samples processed in our most recent testing cycle. Every specimen was purchased anonymously at retail, transferred under chain-of-custody documentation, and analysed by an independent contract laboratory.
The Institute has independently tested 20 Tirzepatide samples from 13 companies. 95% met their label claims on purity and content. Measured purity ranged from 96.9% to 99.2%, averaging 98.3%. Every specimen is published in full, including the laboratory that ran it.
The Peptide Institute is an independent research institute. We do not sell products, we do not accept vendor sponsorship, and we publish results that reflect badly on companies as readily as results that do not.
Purity across our Retatrutide samples ranged from 58.2% to 99.7%. Here is the context.
