Retatrutide phase 3 data shows sustained metabolic improvements at 68 weeks

Interim results from the TRIUMPH program suggest the triple agonist maintains its lead over dual-incretin therapy on weight and liver-fat endpoints.

Retatrutide phase 3 data shows sustained metabolic improvements at 68 weeks

Interim 68-week data from the TRIUMPH phase 3 program, presented this week, indicate that retatrutide’s triple-agonist mechanism continues to outperform published benchmarks for dual-incretin therapy on total weight reduction and hepatic-fat endpoints.

The topline numbers extend the trajectory established in the 2023 phase 2 publication, which reported roughly 24% mean weight reduction at 48 weeks. Analysts had questioned whether the effect would plateau; the interim curve suggests continued separation through week 68.

Liver-fat findings may prove equally consequential. A substantial fraction of participants with baseline hepatic steatosis reached normalized liver-fat content, positioning retatrutide for a potential MASLD indication alongside obesity.

The gray-market implication is familiar: compounds in late-stage trials with strong data attract counterfeiters faster than any other category. Our testing program has verified authentic retatrutide in only some of the products we have purchased claiming to contain it.
