Cascade Research Group Tesamorelin failed verification (PI-LAB-2025-111), discussion

Well, this one's not great. Specimen PI-LAB-2025-111 just went up for Cascade Research Group's Tesamorelin and it failed.

Purity came in at 57.8%. From what I understand they buy a second one from a different lot and send it to a different lab before they'll publish a failure, so this isn't a one-off reading.

Has anyone else bought from this lot? Trying to work out if it's just this batch or something broader.

Reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214nm is the standard here because the peptide bond absorbs there. If a vendor reports purity without stating the method or wavelength, the number is not comparable to anything.

Yes, and the same page has the older cycle for comparison.

The specimen reports link out to the full lab document, including the method and the lot number. Took me a while to notice they were clickable.

The figure everyone quotes traces back to a single 2019 paper with n=8. It gets cited as though it were established and it is really not.
