Sterling Compound Co. Epitalon: content discrepancy in PI-LAB-2025-094

Sterling Compound Co.'s Epitalon came back with a discrepancy, specimen PI-LAB-2025-094 if you want to look at it yourself.

Purity was actually fine at 93.7%. The problem is the amount, 4.12mg measured against 5mg on the label. Which is the kind of thing a purity-only COA sails straight past.

Has anyone else bought from this lot? Trying to work out if it's just this batch or something broader.

The people who get burned are almost never the ones who asked questions first.

Reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214nm is the standard here because the peptide bond absorbs there. If a vendor reports purity without stating the method or wavelength, the number is not comparable to anything.

To answer the methodology question directly, Purity & Testing carries 25% because it is the dimension we can measure most reliably. The full weighting is published on the methodology page.
