AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of human growth hormone developed as an anti-obesity drug. Despite promising preclinical lipolysis data, it failed to demonstrate significant weight loss in phase 2b human trials and development was discontinued. It retains a GRAS-notified status for certain uses and remains widely sold as a research compound.
